Robert Kraft Was Reportedly Upset With Bill Belichick For Misjudging Tom Brady’s Performance: “Then He Goes Out And Wins The Super Bowl”

Bill Belichick’s tenure as the head coach of the New England Patriots has come to an end, and it may be attributed to a significant error in judgment: he believed that Tom Brady’s career was over.

In 2014, Belichick reportedly presented team owner Robert Kraft with a study indicating that quarterbacks typically decline in their mid-30s, suggesting that Brady’s best days were behind him. Despite this, Brady went on to win three more Super Bowls with the Patriots, albeit with some disagreements over his training regimen.

Belichick eventually convinced Kraft that Brady was no longer a viable option after the Patriots’ early playoff exit in 2019/20. Brady then joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency and went on to win his seventh Super Bowl at the age of 43.
