Approximately five minutes after Kevin Costner announced his departure from “Yellowstone,” his phone began to ring incessantly. “It was pretty overwhelming,” the star informed our reporter. “I knew there would be offers, but I had no idea they’d come so quickly.”
The most lucrative offer, a leading role in a Rob Reiner film, was the only one he turned down on the spot. “I won’t work with Reiner,” asserted Costner. “All that Harvey Weinstein and Epstein Island stuff leaves a bad taste in my mouth.”
Reporter Tara Newhole noted that the line sounded even more impactful when he repeated it in the persona of the head of the Dutton family. “If he would have added ‘you son of a bitch’ to the end, it would have been a real fangirl moment for me.”
It’s reassuring to see that Costner still upholds his morals and values, particularly after his past involvement with Piper Paribo. While she may have been charming in Coyote Ugly, her transformation into an aging activist with an attitude problem fell short for him.
“I loved her,” shared Newhole, “and I think you’re a little bit petty for siding with Beth, considering your own politics, mister.”
Nevertheless, now that his child support has reached just over $63K per month, Costner expressed the possibility of asking her out for real. “She seems like a cheap date,” he confided in a friend.
